The Children's Discovery Center had their annual Halloween Parade and parties on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. The parade route went from the classrooms to the Parish Hall. There were about 20 decorated tables in the Parish Hall for the costumed characters to visit Most of the treat - givers had plenty of candy and were also in a variety of costumes from Snow White to an M & M to name a few. There were 30 costumed characters including Bat girl, Spider man, aviators, Super girl, skeletons, a cow, a NASA astronaut, cowgirls and cowboys, a butterfly, and the Incredible Hulk. We all felt safe because a member of the Police Department and a member of the SWAT team were there keeping any eye on everyone, in between candy breaks. A good time was had by all. Thanks to our classroom leaders, kitchen help, treat - givers and everyone who helped in making this a great Halloween parade . SPECIAL THANKS to our Children's Discovery Center supervisors Peggy Aholt and Monica Freeman who coordinate the Halloween Parade every year and for all their work with the Chidren's Discovery Center classes all year !
