Sunday, October 14, 2018 Most Blessed Sacrament Parish celebrated 40 years as a community of faith! We began with our 40th Anniversary Mass of Celebration at 11:30 AM presided by Rev. Msgr. Joseph Pemberton and assisted by Deacon Willy Montano. Our Director of Youth Ministry, Yvette Crumly, was Lector and our cantor was Mark Alarcon. During the preparation of the gifts, we enjoyed listening to our talented combined Adult, Contemporary and Youth Choirs singing together directed by Sallie Magallanez. They were accompanied by talented instrumentalists as well including a guitar, drums, violin and cello and as always our incomparable pianist, Ann Wood. Thanks to all our Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, Altar Servers and everyone who helped make this a special celebration. After Mass, we had the opportunity to view a display on tri-fold boards, scrapbooks and photo albums of the history of Most Blessed Sacrament Church including the Main building construction, special Masses and events, and special blessings from our Bishops over the years for additions to our original building. A picnic lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs, a variety of potluck salads, drinks & desserts was available from 12:30 to 2:00 PM. Fun, A WIDE variety of Games, Music and Entertainment including inflatables were available from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Thanks to all the Youth and Adult volunteers who helped man their stations during the picnic. You really made a difference ! Music was provided by "DJ" Arthur. Members of our local Arlington Fire and Rescue Station and the fine young and courteous men and women of our Arlington Police Department were also able to offer some time to provide tours of their vehicles for the children and answer any questions anyone may have had.
We all have been blessed to be a part of this active and growing community of faith and look forward to the next 40 years in prayer and worship with new and old friends,
