Girl Scouts of the USA, (including Brownies and Daisy Scouts), is the world’s pre-eminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. Although they are not exclusively a church group, we do provide an opportunity for them to meet here at Most Blessed Sacrament. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Activities include camping, canoeing and horseback riding, tree planting and other community service efforts. Girl Scouting is open to all girls, ages 5 to 17. Grade levels are K- 1st for Daisy Scouts, 2nd – 3rd for Brownies and Grades 4 – 12 for Girl Scouts. For more information visit www.girlscouts.org , the local website at www.gs-top.org, or call the Council Office (North Star Community) at 817-737-7272.
