The MBS Community Outreach has been in existence for many years, working to help the needy of our community and our parish through donations of time, money, and goods from our parishioners.

In addition to the projects below we also have ministries that assist people in our community such as pregnant women, women who have lost a child, others experiencing grief and our world in general.  These ministries have subpages listed to the left.

Some of our ongoing projects are:

1. Pantry Sunday is the first Sunday of each month. Foods collected go to St. Maria Goretti Padre Pio House, money collected is earmarked for special projects such as Catholic Charities, etc., and are distributed as designated. All funds are made available to the agencies that serve our parishioner's needs or people within our community who have special needs, such as medical, rent, food and utilities. Catholic Charities also helps with pharmacy costs.
2. School supply collection takes place the first two weekends of August. These items are distributed to five elementary schools in our area for needy children, plus other collections are taken up as needed.
